Short Stay Saver gives you up to five calendar days to turn a quick getaway into a proper break, while keeping the focus firmly on value. Cross the Channel in just 35 minutes and continue in your own vehicle, whether you're heading for a city break, the coast or a few days exploring somewhere new.


With one ticket covering your vehicle and up to nine passengers, plus no luggage limits, it's well suited to couples, families and friends travelling together.

Know before you book . . .

Making changes to your booking
For Short Stay Saver tickets, you are able to amend the date and time of your booking, subject to available capacity, but you will be charged a small administration fee if you need to do this. A fee will be charged for every amendment to booking times and dates. Please note that any changes to pet and vehicle details, insurance or APIs will be amendable without charge. 
Flexibility
With a Short Stay Saver ticket, travel is permitted on a different crossing up to an hour after your booked time, at no extra charge. So for example, if you were booked on the 2pm crossing, you could travel on any crossing from 2-3pm on that day. 
Refunds
Short Stay Saver tickets are non-refundable.

All ticket prices shown are based on one way of a journey and an average sized BMW 3 Series without accessories such as bikes or a roofbox on the top or rear of vehicle, trailer or caravan, 61% of cars travelling with us in 2024 were of similar dimensions to a BMW 3 Series.

Our prices are indicative and the cost of your journey is based on a number of factors, including the ticket type, travel dates and time, length, height, width and ground clearance of your vehicle and accessories. Therefore, the price shown may not be applicable to your vehicle size or preferred date of travel and you may pay more or less dependent on these factors.   • Day Trip & Overnight – Ticket must be purchased as part of a return journey within 2 days. Return must be completed by midnight (local time) on the second calendar day of your journey. Tickets are available for travel until 30/11/2026 and mainly for departures from Folkestone before 05:00 or after 18:00 and from Calais before 12:00 or after 20:00. All tickets are subject to availability. Not amendable. Not refundable.
  • Short Stay Saver - Ticket must be purchased as part of a 5 day return and return must be completed by midnight (local time) on the fifth calendar day. You can change the date and time of travel before booked departure for a fee. Fare increase may apply. All tickets are subject to availability. Not refundable. 
  • Standard - Ticket can be booked for any duration, as either a single or return journey. You can change the date and time of travel before booked departure, for a fee. Fare increase may apply. All tickets are subject to availability. Not refundable.
  • Standard Plus - Ticket can be booked for any duration, as either a single or return journey. Standard Plus tickets are refundable for a fee, only when cancelled more than 2 days before departure provided the ticket has not previously been amended within 2 days before departure. You can change the date and time of travel before booked 
  • Short Stay Flexiplus - Ticket must be purchased as part of a 5 day return. Return must be completed by midnight (local time) on the fifth calendar day. You can change the date and time of travel before departure for no fee. Fare increase may apply. All tickets are subject to availability. 
  • Flexiplus - Ticket offers you a flexible and fully refundable fare, if cancelled before departure. You can change the date and time of travel before departure for no fee. Fare increase may apply. All tickets are subject to availability.

For safety reasons we are unable to board motorcycles first, so Flexiplus priority boarding excludes motorcycles.

Lounge access and refreshments 
Flexiplus Lounges are open daily from 6am to 10pm, and until 10.30pm in Calais. Outside these hours, customers may access the lounge lobby where toilets are available. 
Customers may choose to enjoy refreshments in the lounge or take a grab-and-go bag with them for their journey. To ensure fair availability for all customers, each passenger may choose one option per journey. Customers who dine in the lounge will not be eligible for a grab-and-go bag on the same journey. 
Where refreshments are taken away, one grab-and-go bag will be provided per passenger, per journey by a member of the lounge team. Only the bag provided may be used to take refreshments from the lounge. 

The QR code is valid for one lounge entry per journey and may only be used in the direction of travel for which Flexiplus was purchased. If Flexiplus has been purchased for another journey, a separate QR code will be issued for that booking. The QR code in the email is valid only for the booking reference stated.

Flexiplus Peak Day Charges - Peak Day Charges are payable on busy days. A Flexiplus ticket offers you a fully flexible and refundable fare. However, if you do need to travel on a Peak Day, a Peak Day Charge will be applicable. Charge starts from £10 up to £250* per leg.

The environmentally-friendly way to travel to France

35 minutes is the planned journey time. The average crossing time between November 2024 and October 2025 was 35 minutes 17 seconds.
