Our shuttles travel at a top speed of 140 kmph in the tunnel. The tunnel is 50 kilometres long and with the distance to enter and exit the tunnels from the platforms, the total distance travelled is 58.44 kilometres per crossing. The planned crossing time is 35 minutes from platform to platform. The time it takes is the same whether travelling from Folkestone to Calais or Calais to Folkestone. The average crossing time between November 2024 and October 2025 was 35 minutes 17 seconds.
