How will Brexit affect my pet passport?
From 1st January 2021, the UK is categorised as a Part 2 listed third country under the EU Pet Travel Scheme. This means that EU Pet Passports issued in Great Britain are no longer valid for travel to the EU.
From now on, if you’re a UK traveller you will need to get an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) from your vet before you travel to the EU. Take a look at our Pet Checklist to make sure you’ve everything you need. You can check the latest government advice at www.gov.uk.
We’ve been putting the finishing touches to the new dedicated Pet Reception facilities located in our Passenger Terminal Building on the UK Terminal. Our dedicated pet team will check your pet’s paperwork before you board your shuttle, and please note that these checks will be mandatory when travelling from Folkestone to Calais from 1st January 2021.
