Aqua Park, France
This inflatable water park near Bordeaux in France will leave you flying high –emotionally and quite possibly through the air too. With attractions like the giant human catapult, a massive pillow that slingshots you into the air, and the 10m tall water jump slide, which springboards you skyward - you’ll need to be as fond of the clouds as you are the waves here!
Little ones can enjoy one of the Aqua Kids sessions for a more grounded experience. The sessions run three mornings a week and are perfect for children between 4 and 10 years of age.
The floating jungle gym is open between June and September and tickets start from €15 an hour. You’ll find lockers onsite and there is plenty of free parking nearby.
Jump into the inflatable adventure at Aqua Park in France
Aquascope, France
Part of the Futuroscope theme park in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France, it’s unsurprising that Aquascope is equally out of this world. With four themed universes, the futuristic indoor water park is equipped with elaborate light shows, neon play zones and unique blockbuster experiences.
You’ll find no less than eight slides as well as a lazy river, thematic wet zones, and caves and canyons to explore. Outside, you can lounge on the beach or be carried along by the current on the Aquadynamic course.
Tickets start from €39 per adult and €32 per child.
Aquaboulevard de Paris, France
Europe’s largest urban water park, Aquaboulevard de Paris, is another must-visit stop on your holiday – particularly if you are staying in the French capital.
Families of all ages will find plenty to dive into, from slides and toboggan rides to Tarzan-style rope swings, wave pools, and even a wakeboarding machine. Visitors looking for a more relaxed experience can slip into one of the saunas or hot tubs before heading outside to unwind on the park’s very own sandy beach.
The attraction is open every day from April to September and opens for school holidays, weekends, and public holidays from September onwards. Tickets start from €44 per adult and €25 per child.

Plopsaqua De Panne, Belgium
Just over an hour from Calais, you wouldn’t be too eager if you were to wear your swimsuit for the trip to Plopsaqua De Panne. The water park in Belgium is bursting with high-energy attractions for the whole family. With a Viking-esque theme, adventure and fearless fun are the order of the day.
Young Vikings should head to Vic’s play village to start their epic quest before jumping aboard Halvar’s Drakkar where they can fire the water cannons at unsuspecting family members. Older Vikings looking to test their warrior courage will want to head to the park’s slides. The Sliding Tires ride, which sees you whooshing down a neon-coloured tunnel lined with strobe lighting, has to be the first port of call. The Sky Drop – a 20m tall slide that starts with a heart-stopping free fall – is for the truly brave of heart!

Aqualibi, Belgium
After a thrilling day at Belgium’s largest theme park, Walibi Theme Park, you might be tempted to come back for more family fun. Fortunately, with Aqualibi just around the corner, you won’t be disappointed!
The waterpark, just outside Brussels, is packed with slides, rides, play zones and pools aplenty. Why not grab a mat and rush – head first – down the Wiki Wiki, a 147m- long tunnel, to see who can pass the finish line first? Or head over to Rapido, a lazy river that isn’t always lazy.
Opening hours are generally between 10am and 8pm but can vary, so it is worth double-checking before your visit. Tickets start from €35 per person over 1.2 m and €13.50 per person between 1 m - 1.2 m.

This tropical paradise in the heart of Germany is just 1 hr 30 minutes from Berlin, making it perfect for anyone looking for a break from the city buzz.
There really is something for everyone in this waterpark complex. Daredevils will want to head to the slide tower, a 27m tall structure that leads to each of the park’s thrilling slides. Meanwhile, visitors who need a moment to recover from pruney fingers can head to the beach to play volleyball or soccer - or simply relax in the sun. With a sauna, spa and fitness club onsite as well as themed play areas, a surf simulator, and an indoor rainforest - you won’t run out of things to do anytime soon.

Closely linked to Europa Park, Rulantica Water Park is just a 5-minute drive from the popular family attraction - with combination tickets making it easy to enjoy both during your holiday. The German destination is also conveniently located near the borders of Switzerland and France, so whether you are staying in Rust in Germany, Strasbourg in France, or Zurich in Switzerland, it’s easy to add Rulantica to your itinerary.

Meanwhile, children of all ages will enjoy zooming down one of the attraction’s many water slides. It may take longer to drive there from our Calais terminal, but Aqualandia in Spain is definitely worth the journey! Plus, with so many stop-worthy destinations en route, you might find you need more time to soak up the sights along the way. Depending on the route you take, you’ll pass plenty of wild swimming spots to dip into, as well as key destinations like Paris, Orléans, Poitiers and Bordeaux.
