Walibi theme park in Belgium

Family fun is guaranteed at the Walibi theme park, the largest theme park in Belgium and one of the closest theme parks of its size to our LeShuttle terminal.

Opened in 1975, it is one of Belgium’s most popular theme parks, and has won awards for its family-friendly attractions.

Featuring a mix of rollercoasters and water rides, there is something for everyone at Walibi, from families with young children to thrillseekers. That’s not all! The Aqualibi water park is part of the same park and includes exciting slides, wave pools and water jets for the little ones.

Where is Walibi theme park?

The Walibi theme park is just south of Brussels, near the town of Wavre.

Driving to Walibi from Calais

It takes around two hours 40 minutes to drive to Walibi from the LeShuttle terminal in Calais. Take the A16 towards Dunkirk and then the E40 for Bruges and Ghent.

The main attractions

There are attractions for all ages at Walibi. Some of the feature rides include a photo service, so you can take home a souvenir of the most thrilling moments of your day at Walibi theme park.

For families

Walibi Family

Walibi is full of fun adventure and water rides for all the family. From the Radja River, where your boat contests with rapids, sharp bends and waterfalls, to the Calamity Mine train ride, from the Flash Back splash water coaster to the disorientating Wave Swinger, prepare for lots of hands in the air, ‘wet and wild’ Walibi moments.

For children

In two different zones, kids can have the time of their lives. There are mini adventure rides like Dragon Boat, Fun Pilot and Bubble Swirl, and fun for little ones in Spinning Taxis and Tchou-Tchou Express. There is accessibility criteria on the Walibi website for parents to check whether certain rides are suitable for their children, with guidance on minimum heights and if the child should be accompanied by an adult.

For thrill-seekers

Take a seat in one of Walibi’s sensational daredevil rides. Face high speeds, terrifying plunges and dizzying heights on rollercoasters like Kondaa, and brave the 77 metre plunge at 110 km/h of the Dalton Terror. The splash rollercoaster Pulsar won ‘Best New Attraction of the World’ when it first opened, and Psyke Underground takes you on a thrilling dark ride, concluding with a catapult that launches you at speeds of 85 km/h at a height of 45 metres.

Planning your visit

You might be wondering, do kids go free? Walibi tickets for children are based on height rather than age. You will also see that rides are categorised in terms of children’s heights, too. Children under 1 metre go free, and there is a discount for those between 1 metre and 1 metre 40cm.

Individual tickets

Advance individual tickets can be bought on the Walibi website. There are promotions available during the season, such as adult tickets for the price of a child’s ticket, and discounts for group visits (minimum of 6 people).

The Speedy One

The Speedy One is a fast lane ticket which gives you priority entry to certain attractions at Walibi Belgium. Make sure you select a Speedy One along with your individual day tickets.

Online passes

Love it so much at Walibi you can’t wait to come back?! Choose from a range of season ticket options, for unlimited access to Walibi and Aqualibi during the year.

On-site tickets

You can always pay on the day. On-site tickets are a little more expensive than advance tickets, but young children still get free entry.

Both Walibi and Aqualibi are closed on some days of the week out of high season (July and August), so check before you travel.

Aqualibi

The Aqualibi water park is part of the Walibi site and offers water fun for all ages, with slides, wave pools and the Kiddie Bay. Try the Rapido slide, which is sometimes ripplingly calm and sometimes completely wild, or the Xtreme slide, where you dive for 100 metres at impressive speeds. As well as the wave pool, there are also smaller relaxation pools and a lagoon with calming whirlpools. The Kiddie Bay is a zone just for small children, with splashing fountains and cascades, custom-made glides and other surprises.

Bookings for Aqualibi are made separately to those for Walibi, but combined tickets are available.
